The Power of A Prayer

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. – Matthew 7:7

It does not matter what religion you follow. It does not matter even if you don’t believe in following any religion. We may be from any where or say anything but most of us believe that there is a power which runs this universe. God, Nature, Allah or Bhagwan, different people know it by different names.

As humans, we have talked to this power every minute, every second of our lives. Whenever we are in a problem, this is the power we turn to. Our words become our prayer and our heart becomes the transmitter that sends out this prayer into the depths of the universe where this power resides.

Some times, it is difficult to articulate or even understand what we want. Yes, we know what we want but we are unable to express it to even ourselves. In these times, a book like Illuminata- A Return to Prayer can help you to say what you truly feel.

The following prayer is my personal favorite

And so it is that we pray with all our hearts and souls, to deliver our world into the hands of God (you can replace this word with any word like light, mother nature or any word of your choice if you like.) – Taken from Illuminata- A Return to Prayer.
